The Helikopter Engel Tespit Sistemi (HETS) project aims to develop HTAWS functionality to prevent CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain) accidents by providing enhanced terrain and obstacle awareness with advanced visual and aural warnings. The project includes the development of Digital Moving Map (DMAP) and Mission Planning Ground Station (MPGS) products for 400 helicopters, which works on platform-integrated hardware or tablet.
Our solutions within the scope of the platform-integrated HETS system project have emerged with the adaptation of STM's knowledge accumulated over the years within the scope of ATAK and JHM Digital Moving Map Projects in line with the HETS project needs according to aviation standards. Thus, the functions and features that have been tested operationally and passed through the filters of the pilots have been transferred to these software.
Mobile DMAP software was delivered to ASELSAN for use in 200 helicopters owned by seven different customers, (Air Force Command, Naval Forces Command, Coast Guard Command, Special Forces Command, General Command of Gendarmerie, Turkish National Police and Directorate General of Forestry), and it was integrated into the platforms after training and installation activities.
Within the scope of the integrated HODS system, the development of DMS and MPGS has been completed, and the integration work for new hardware to be produced by ASELSAN has begun. Our integrated HODS product is expected to be in use after the platform integration processes.
