STM has been entrusted with the cybersecurity of the National Combat Aircraft “KAAN” which has successfully completed its maiden flight.

The National Combat Aircraft “KAAN” – one of Türkiye’s most important technology projects – being constructed by Turkish Aerospace under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industry Agency of the Republic of Türkiye, has passed a notable milestone in successfully completing its maiden flight in Ankara on 21 February, 2024. KAAN, Türkiye’s first 5th-Generation Combat Aircraft, completed a test flight lasting 13 minutes.

On the occasion of the flight, Özgür Güleryüz, STM General Manager, shared his thoughts via his Twitter account:

“Our National Combat Aircraft KAAN, a proud project of our country, has spread its wings in the skies for the first time. We have undertaken many critical tasks in the KAAN programme, including platform cybersecurity, contributing our national engineering power to the advanced technology and design of the platform, which will be one of the primary protectors of our skies. I would like to congratulate all those involved in the project, particularly those working at Turkish Aerospace under the leadership of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB), in recognition of the pride this project brings us.”
